A journalist living in NYC gets a calender for christmas which gives a goal for each month. It goes in chapters by month, beginning with January. Days after getting the calender, she meets a man at a new years eve party and kisses him at midnight. The twelve chapters track and synchronize seasonally with the rise and fall of their romance.
